Mobile App Accessibility

Smartphones nowadays are indeed very compliant with accessibility standards in order to reach a wider audience.

Mobile development needs follow some guidelines in order to not interfere with the smartphone out of the box accessibility features.

Standard UI controls, objects, and elements should be used to ensure a greater level of accessibility.

For example in iOS standard controls will have traits assigned that are understood by VoiceOver and therefore users.

Website Accessibility

As for the Website/CMS all the accessibility functionality will not only be provided by using standards in web development but also by the ATbar (https://www.atbar.org) plugin that was built to allow access onto websites for everyone.

In the ATbar team own words ‘ATbar can increase the accessibility of a website and offer a personalised user experience’.

ATbar allows one to change the look and feel of webpages, increase and decrease font sizes, have text read aloud, use coloured overlays, readability and a dictionary to aid reading.

We are proud to have these companies as our supporters and investors.
